Two groups of sculpture-reliefs patiently balance along the Usine walls… This weekend the artist radically modified one of the groups, deliberately causing a collapse and creating through performance ‘Effondrement: 23 Arcs’ - a new configuration for which the final visual outcome would have been impossible to predict. Venet demonstrates how chance disrupts the conventions of our morphological reference systems, bringing us, at the moment of collapse, into randomness, where the new artwork generates itself autonomously.
