What if the story of American music begins with Beethoven?

I am delighted to announce a special collaboration between Time & Harmony and Grand Piano Series, featuring acclaimed pianist, Konstantin Soukhovetski.

In Narrative Musicale, Konstantin explores Beethoven’s surprising influence on the American musical imagination, tracing unexpected connections between European classical traditions and the emergence of distinctly American sounds—from Scott Joplin’s irresistible ragtime to the infectious rhythms of boogie-woogie.

How does a musical gesture cross the Atlantic and reappear a century later in an entirely different cultural landscape?

Through virtuosic piano performance, captivating storytelling, multimedia, and improvisation, Konstantin brings these connections to life, revealing music as a living, evolving language—shaped by cultural exchange, innovation, and the creative spirit of generations.

From Beethoven’s profound musical vision to the vibrant rhythms of early American popular music, this extraordinary performance invites us to listen differently, discover unexpected connections, and hear familiar sounds in an entirely new light.

Join us for an evening of discovery, imagination, and musical storytelling.
