POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
On August 28, 2014 I walked into a school full of unfamiliar faces wondering if I would ever be part of this group where most have been best friends since elementary school. Here I am four years later and I graduated along side some of my best friends. We came in as little freshman, scared and excited for what the future might bring us, and of course intimidated by the upperclassmen. This place that for four whole years we spent hours and hours in classrooms taking notes and creating friendships, cutting ties, forgetting our homework, and complaining about how ready we were to graduate. I’m without a doubt guilty of that; yet this place has become a home to us. A place full of familiar faces and people we grew to trust. As for the staff I cannot thank you enough for the hours you put into getting to know each and every one of us and not complaining about how much work you had each night like us students did.High school isn't the best four years of your life, don’t believe anyone that tries to tell you that. We will never walk the same halls with the same people to the same classes. We will never have the same people standing outside and waving to us as busses are dismissed each and everyday; rain or shine.
Never again will we get another “tecvi “ for playing on our phones in physics, or get yelled at by Mr. D for having a water bottle on our desk, or will we have to write the god awful 11th grade GPA ruiner, the research paper. There will be no more prom shopping, no more evacuation drills or fire drills or EF rat pack. We will not walk back into the media center during our study halls and play PlayStation and order a turners tea or watch old vines with our best friends.I personally wish I did it all; skipped a class or two, paid more attention in class, talked to more people, went to every stupid dance and football game, or even joined a club and sport.
Do it now. Because now that we have graduated we will never have another chance to do it again. After four years of dedication as preparation for the real world and there’s one thing we haven’t been taught, how to say goodbye.
