When bait and waiting make sure you are aware of the wind and current so as you cast out the lines don’t get tangled. You first rod you cast out should be in the same direction as the current. The Catch of a Lifetime! We were only 30 mins into this charter and 6 miles out of Dana Point Harbor when this 44lb Beast started to rip line! What a rush! That is Saddleback Mountain in the background! Unreal! Thanks to Christian of @sekassportfishing for an epic day. We finished off with 33 yellowfin as well with 8 in the 15-25lb range. We got Dessert before Dinner on this trip!

I’m not even going to sugarcoat it… we are TIRED. 😂 Like really, really tired. The last few weeks have been absolutely INSANE. We moved an entire fish processing business into a new facility, tried to get everything dialed in, kept processing fish through all of it… and somehow, the second we got into the new shop, you guys decided to KEEP US BUSIER THAN EVER. 🤣🐟 And I don’t say that as a complaint. Not even a little bit. It’s actually pretty damn amazing. There have definitely been moments where Brett, Kelly and I look at each other like… what did we get ourselves into?! 😂 But then I walk through this new shop that we worked SO hard for, see our crew busting their asses, see fish coming through the doors nonstop, and realize— THIS is what we wanted. We wanted to grow. We needed more space. We wanted to be able to serve more people. And holy crap… you guys showed up. We’re still figuring things out. We’re still moving things around. Half the time we can’t remember where we put something. 😂 And I’m pretty sure our “to-do list” is somehow getting longer instead of shorter. But even through the exhaustion, I am so freaking grateful. Grateful for Brett and Kelly and everything the three of us have poured into this place. Grateful for our crew who has been right there with us through the craziness. Grateful for our customers. Grateful for everyone who helped us get here. And grateful that this crazy little family business of ours has grown into something that keeps us THIS damn busy. So yes… we’re tired. We’re running on caffeine, adrenaline and probably a little bit of insanity at this point. 😂 But we’re here. We did it. And we are SO incredibly thankful. SDFP’s new chapter is officially underway. 🖤🐟 And apparently nobody told the fish we needed a few days to recover first. 🤣 #thepeoplesprocessor #comeseethenewshop #grateful
