What an amazing harp ensemble rehearsal tonight! Thanks to all students who participated and to the parents who took the time to take them and help move harps.

See you NEXT week for HarpFest!

Huge shout out to @harpduchess and Tasha Smith Godinez for arranging pieces. And to Eileen Mason and @barb2312 for supporting and helping our students!

Audrey Cadogan, San Diego Harpist

The San Diego wedding world has a way of continually introducing you to people who have made an art form out of the thing they’ve always loved.

This past week, @sandiegoharpist and I collaborated on a series of portraits centered around her, her harp, and the personality behind the music. Somewhere in the process, I found myself drawn to the familiarity of her story.

She has been playing the harp since middle school, around the same age I booked my first photoshoot. Two childhood interests, pursued long enough and seriously enough to eventually become careers. That parallel made photographing her feel especially intuitive.

Today, Audrey plays weddings throughout California, accompanying some of the most anticipated moments of the day. And when she isn’t playing for a bride walking down the aisle, music remains just as present in her personal life - now, she’s teaching her children how to play.

Enjoy this preview from our morning at @studio.casually.
