Swaying with these cool trees makes me happy ... Day 10 of #backtosplits with @cyogalife #sidebend #sirsasanavariation #llegs well I gave this one a try felt pretty strong, still working on my strength. I did really like the side stretch that I got on both sides as I move my legs. Yeah I definitely give this one a try it’s a good stretch either way and you get what you get and you don’t get upsetπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ or at least you try!! Day 4 of #BackToSplits with @cyogalife ANJANEYASANA Backbends are always rough for me, ever since my car accident. I have a titanium disc in my neck and lower back and it feels like I will never get that flexibility back!!! But I willdie trying πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I was also not liking it with my toes down and had better luck with my flat foot. That doesn’t help my titanium in my spine which I just found out has caused a bit of scoliosis ugh what’s next πŸ€” oh boy the weekend is over!!! #yogast58 #fitat58 #injured #keepgoing #lowlunge #anjaneyasana #treeyoga #yogabend #backbendpractice #hipflexorstretch #outdooryoga #myhomeyogapractice #yogalearnings #practiceandalliscoming

Day 3 of #backtosplits with @cyogalife Half Hero in Compass Pose Compass is the ne of my favourite poses because I can always get a great stretch! I also really like this version because there is cuts stretch happening in the front of my leg. So far I am excited that I have been able to do the poses but soon I feel a modification coming πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Well it is what it is πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ» So stoked so many are joining this challenge.. it’s better together!!!! WEDNESDAY WHEEL PARTY Our amazing host this week is the lovely Sabine. She is offering this fun floating handstand pose using the amazing @petes_choice wheel. It does have a splitsy feel to it, but I reallly like it!!! I felt like I was able to get the compression and the toes on the wheel, but every time I switched my gaze, well let’s just say, no hood Lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ My shoulders don’t love handstands anymore, I think they have had enough πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, so I don’t push them!! 🫢🫢 #SplitYourWheelyHandstand Tip: It’s much easier if the wheel is propped against the wall instead of free-rolling! Personally, I also find turning to face towards the wall a little easier, because you can lean into it and open the shoulders β€” but try all versions if you’re feeling playful! Pilates is great for your body and mind because it focuses on core strength, flexibility, and overall body awareness. Here are some of its key benefits: Core Strength – Pilates strengthens your deep core muscles, improving posture and stability. It enhances flexibility while also promoting controlled, pain-free movement . Strengthening your core and back helps align your spine, reducing strain on your neck and shoulders. Many physical therapists use Pilates to help patients recover from injuries by improving muscle balance and movement patterns. Pilates encourages mindfulness and breath control, helping you feel more present. The focus on slow, controlled movements can calm the nervous system. It helps you become more conscious of your posture and movement, reducing tension and strain in everyday activities. Since you value peace of mind and spirituality, you might really enjoy the mindfulness aspect of Pilates! Have you ever tried it, or are you thinking about starting? Wearing @prozis It’s my favorite workout!!! Join me at @wfc_burlington for mat or reformer Pilates.
