Tion Medon served as the Port Administrator of Pau City on Utapau, secretly helping Jedi Master Obi‑Wan Kenobi locate General Grievous during Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

Wishing a very happy birthday to @brucespence39 , the actor who brought Tion Medon to life. Spence’s career spans Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Mad Max, The Matrix, Chronicles of Narnia, Finding Nemo, and more. May the Force be with you, Bruce! 🥳🎂🎉

Fun fact: Tion Medon’s design was originally created for the natives of Mustafar, the volcanic world where Anakin and Obi‑Wan duel in the film’s finale. Meanwhile, George Lucas first imagined the Pau’ans as lemur‑like creatures. Those early lemur concepts eventually evolved into the Lurmen, introduced in Season 1, Episode 13 of The Clone Wars, “Jedi Crash.” Lucas felt the lemur designs were too close to the Ewoks, so the team pivoted, establishing a new species for Mustafar’s lava miners and reshaping the Pau’ans into the tall, skeletal beings we see in the final cut.

Artist Sang Jun Lee @sangjunart created the first sketches of the Pau’ans, and @robertebarnes and @murnane_m sculpted early facial maquettes. The design evolved throughout production, blending prosthetic makeup with CGI enhancements. Their elongated facial structure was inspired by an African tribal mask, giving the Pau’ans their eerie, ancient look.

After learning all this, it’s easy to see why Tion Medon looks the way he does. He carries that dark, lava‑dwelling energy even though he ended up on Utapau.

Let’s see if my Star Wars knowledge can help me figure out what this big mural is supposed to be?

Feeling so special to get an early peek at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. It’s especially exciting being here with Simon—we met at Skywalker Ranch 25 years ago on Episode II.
Seeing so many pieces of art that used to hang on the walls of the art department now beautifully exhibited in this incredible museum is surreal. George Lucas is such a GOAT. He’s doing something groundbreaking again through this spaceship of a museum, putting a spotlight on entertainment art and permanently elevating it to a new level.
Thanks, Morgan, for hooking it up!

I made a clay model of Gary's antidote pen from Zootopia 2.🐰🦊 🐍 It's a key item that saved Judy's life. I really like the design of this pen. Since it only appears in a few scenes, I don't know the exact design, so I'm a little worried if this design is correct.

Blackwing Matte pencils ✏️ + One-Step Long Point Sharpener

Smooth graphite. Clean long points. Full control.

Testing this combo with a bird sketch from Rio, inspired by @sangjunart concept art. The long point really shows when pushing gesture, line weight, and subtle texture.

Good tools don’t draw for you — but they definitely respond better.

Di filmnya, bertabur easter egg dan hint yang mengonfirmasi, dunia #Zootopia berada di semesta cerita yang sama dengan animasi @disney lainnya loh! 🫵🏰
