weezma! my fanmade album art for @rivers_cuomo 's new collaborative demo bundle with @ozmaofficial available on riverscuomo.com!

for this cover, i had the idea to combine the donkey from ozma's "doubble donkey disc" and a weezer fanclub style doodle of rivers cuomo as representation of both collaborative parties on the project. i decided to implement the graph paper and handwritten title to allude to the inner sleeve design of "everything will be alright in the end," the album these demos were recorded for. i'm really happy with how it came out! i think the two artstyles mesh well and form a cute and cohesive whole.

high quality downloads of this and other fanmade artwork are linked under "album artwork" at:

Who hasn’t Daniel Brummel worked with? Weezer? Check. Nada Surf? Check. A world renowned college? Check. The Trump administration. Bingo! But Ozma and Sanglorians are, on the other hand, the legitimate and fully child-supported brainchildren of Mr. Brummel.

Now, just in time for the second round of Covid quarantine, we have the sophomore album Odalisque, the perfect soundtrack to your bathtub sobs in the fetal position while contemplating your worthless life under a cold shower… It does get better, I promise. Mr. Brummelstein takes a few moments from strutting around his posh LA pad to sit down at his MacBook and type out a few responses for us about the past, present and future of his music. Drum roll please……..It’s DANNY!

Sharing some light. Our new Sanglorians album ‘Odalisque’ is out today. It’s been a long time coming— I recorded most of my strings and vocals in Atlanta in 2015. This album is an homage to heavy power pop. Between 2012-2015 I played countless LA shows with @sanglorians and truly learned how to play amplified violin live and harmonize in a rock band. @sanglorians mentored and encouraged me when there wasn’t a platform or much access for womxn in music yet, especially in the alternative/rock scenes. He is on my shortlist of most incredible technical and exciting live musicians I’ve ever known and will always be my brother from another. So excited to share these songs and for the next chapter of music too 💛🎻🤘Swipe for the real og bootleg theater days!

Had the pleasure of mixing half of the new @sanglorians album, “Odalisque” out today! Working with Daniel Brummel of @ozmaofficial throughout the process was so much fun — we experimented extensively with sounds and probably broke so many mix engineering rules in the process but hopefully the end result is something that sounds authentic, colorful and dynamic. Daniel also chose to release the album exclusively on @bandcamp, donating preorder proceeds to the @naacp. Give it a listen for some heavy power pop goodness — link in bio!🤘🏽
