Can we go on a bike ride today?”
This is a question 7-year-old Zoey eagerly asks almost every day since taking her training wheels off earlier this summer. Zoey was nominated by her neighbor, Lyndsay Stiles, who happens to be a coach with Black Swamp Riders.
We first met Zoey at Biketoberfest this past October, where her enthusiasm and love for biking radiated from her.
Recently, we had the opportunity to surprise Zoey with her new bike at Spoke Life Cycles. She was thrilled to receive it, complete with decals featuring her name and favorite color “ORANGE”!
Zoey can’t wait to learn more about her bike, join the Black Swamp Riders next spring, ride more trails in the woods, and embark on new adventures! @batchbicycles @spokelifecycles

Hooray for all the women of the Lumberjack 100! Thanks to all of you we had our largest field yet! Congrats to those who smashed records, placed in our first ever Women’s masters podium, our youngest female finisher, the women who tackled this race as their first mountain bike race ever, the women working their way towards getting a saw and those who came back with unfinished business to persevere and crushed the dang thing! We’re so proud of you all and grateful you joined us! Tell your friends and keep an eye out for registration in January, we’d love to have even more join next year!
