Grateful, Empowered, CHOSEN💞💚

A few words to describe an experience of a lifetime! Grateful to be amongst joyous, purpose-driven college educated women and to be a part of an organization (sisterhood ) that invests so deeply in its young leaders. Empowered to step boldly into leadership, knowing this is not my stop but my stepping stone. And CHOSEN as one of 56 in a 300+ applicant pool and one of seven sophomores, an honor I owe only to God. Thank you Leadership Fellows 2026, for challenging me, shaping me, and inspiring me to be the best version of myself and truly embody what it means to be a woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Experiencing the 47th Leadership Fellows Program at home felt like a full-circle moment — leadership, sisterhood, and purpose all rooted in the place that shaped me.

Today our summer researchers experienced the BMA two ways: first with a curator-led introduction to the museum and tour of the exhibition Black Earth Rising, and then with a visit to the BMA Lexington Market! Thank you, @baltimoremuseumofart !

On Tuesday, our visiting undergraduates in the Humanities Collaboratory and the PhD Pathway presented their research in Shriver Hall Auditorium to an audience of their peers and mentors, as well as supporters who joined via livestream. Hi everyone! My name is Sania Williams. I’m a sophomore from Greenville, SC and I’m currently majoring in Political Science and Sociology. I am also a W.E.B Du Bois Honors Scholar! I have always loved food, and the way it ties people together! As a member of the committee, I hope to tie our community together through food as well.

Fun Fact: I’m allergic to shellfish, and found out on my senior prom night!
