SMALL BATCH was a mid-production concept developed in 2022, following a sporadic decision to further my studies around art and fashion as it relates to beauty, culture, history, luxury, media, modernity and sustainability. While examining the nuances of the latter, I explored reducing what can be considered ‘wastage’ within my own brand, particularly off-cuts of fabric and acrylic pieces that never got the chance to live beyond the bench. Small Batch utilises silhouettes that are dead stock, experimental cuts and samples, elevating them into limited exhibition pieces that seek permanence in the modern archive: their final, functional expression. It brings me relief and joy to bring them into our edits available at #maraloma boutique, open Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturdays from 10am - 4pm

Rooted in symbolism, this print traces a journey across oceans honoring the Fatel Razack’s arrival into the Caribbean through motifs of sun, stars, and botanicals from two worlds. The flowing silhouette mirrors that sense of movement, creating a set that speaks to passage, migration, and arrival. Explore our new arrivals via www.shomathelabel.com

✨Unseen Bits✨ - 20•02•25🎂✨ I could have given a lengthy caption filled with introspection, but it’s almost a month since my bday at this point🤣 I’ve been living in this new version with grace, gratitude & honestly, a lot more satisfied with the way things are playing out at this time. My favourite thing so far has been the way life’s nuances (as they apply to my ‘unique’ experience) are revealed and accepted with significantly less betwixt them. As with every new Solar Return, life begins again. A person is not lucky if they can realise that they are the ones who determine the truest narrative of themselves, they’re just more self aware. Self-awareness is a gift entitled to us all as we continue to become deeper-rooted in who we are, while remaining malleable to our determined identity. I hope you get to experience those transcendent moments of self awareness as you progress through life and I hope that I continue to experience those moments too, as I keep getting up there in ‘age’. Mind you, I’m younger than as much of you viewers, than I am older eh🤣 I just have an old, otherworldly soul and naturally poetic😜🤣✨💕 Though it’s been some time since then, thanx so much for the birthday wishes and special thanx to those who show up for me✨💕 I don’t have a lot of captures here of those individuals, but luckily they don’t need to be SEEN to be FELT. You know who you are💕💕 (don’t you hate when people say that? Haha. It’s true though🤪) Oh shucks, I guess it was a long and introspective caption after all🤣🤷🏽‍♀️
