Celebrating Pongal the Nitros Way

A beautiful morning of indulgence and just being in the moment. We laughed, gobbled, held overlapping conversations, gobbled some more and never stopped clicking pictures.

A morning that was an unspoken promise to keep running together and supporting each other.

We are grateful that Pongal gave us the opportunity to create this beautiful memory. So that years hence we can look back with nostalgia and say: “those were the days!”

FCM 2026 finishers from CR Nungambakkam Nitros

Once upon a time we decided to run the FCM 2026..

Many miles and sore muscles later, here we are basking in the glory of it all. The FCM 2026 chronicles tell a story of a community coming together, integrating, weaving, leaping, trying… just trying. In the end, somehow all the pieces just fit perfectly. That collective feeling of being alive, of accomplishment and of peace is irreplaceable.

The start line, the journey and the finish line is a lifeline that holds all the pieces together, fills those empty spaces, so that at the end, you feel that tinge or the inkling of a metamorphosis. And you think, I’ve got this, I can do this and the invariable grin invites the whole world in. What a feeling!

The race day grind- overwhelming. That race day feeling - gold!

Grit. Grind. Gratitude. Glory.
Our story. Our legacy.

Wanna run with us?

Borne with love!!! ❤️‍🔥🏃🏽💫

Overwhelmed to say the least, for once I'm lost and don't know what to say, 😂 shall just go with the flow!

Thank you for running alongside
Holding our hands 'n' guiding our soles.

We'll always carry
In our hearts
Be a part, not apart!

No matter the distance
The journey keeps us moving
As we reach another beginning, of an end.

Soles crossin' over
Putting all on the line
Time after time!

What a feeling, being born anew
We are NITROS, we'll run with you!💙

Blessed 'n' beholden
To a family without boundaries
To an amazing support system
That's all heart 'n' sole
Cannot ask for a more glorious tomorrow
For the "present"
A wonderful joy, a beautiful gift in itself!!!

Thank you Nanditha, thank you Saar, for opening your wonderful hearts and home to us all. Thank you for nourishing our body with such a delicious fare!

Many thanks to NITROS, wherever you are, grateful to be a part of such amazing souls, thank you for celebrating every win, like it were your own!

'Tis the end, so let me say this: "We are a family, not related by blood, but by that which truly bonds us, the respect, the care and the love, we have for the other!"

Cheers to a family borne with love!!!♥️

Sincerely, from the very deepest depths, thank you all!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️‍🔥🏃🏽🏃🏽🏃🏽

FCM, it's an emotion!

What an amazing start to 2024!
Nothing like you've ever seen or ever felt, nothing compares to a Chennai Marathon! Even the quick sharp spell of rain could not dampen the mood, an atmosphere that was absolutely charged, rearing to go on beast mode!

As we NITROS waved to our very own Super SAAR, as he smiled waving, standing alongside the Chief guest. Running the dark Besant avenue lit sporadically, it looked like the skies had descended the earth before dawn, literally & figuratively!

Soles were struggling to break free of the limited confines, jostling for space, their melody settled to quick sharp beats as they hit the asphalt. The steady climb up the Adyar flyover started, a challenging climb, the climate totally humid did not help! The descent, the runup to Taramani & run into ECR saw the runners settling into their own paces, now all warmed up & ready to shift gears, the second half begins.

The route was very well marked, the volunteers cheering, the CTP standing guard at junctions, the photographers bringing smiles to dehydrated lips & the aid stations stocked to the gills, with oranges, banana, lemon 'n' salt, chikki, water, electrolytes & even Coke!

The finish line a welcome sight to every soul as they crossed over to the otherside with ear splitting smiles, as their hearts surged with such indescribable joy, you have to run to feel it, words would never do justice!

The medals handed out by our dear NITROS, what a welcoming committee! 🥰 The recovery zone, a much appreciated initiative, that the runners utilised well. A wonderful breakfast spread that refueled & provided a relaxing atmosphere for the runners to interact & unwind.

A huge huge round of applause to this amazing festival, RD SAAR, the core team, Rachana, Badri, Aravind, Dr. Laksmi, Chapter heads, Nandini, the Sponsors, volunteers, support staff doing the clean up, photographers, backend support team, CTP, thank you all. What a show, seamlessly sublime!👌🏽🙏🏽

To each & everyone of you who made it possible for this day to happen, thank you! A heartwarming end to an arduous journey that begins, yet again! Auf Wiedersehen bis 2025!🏃🏽🏃🏽🏃🏽
