This year I set my sights on finding more opportunities where I could learn and grow more in a role as not only a (session-) musician, but as a bandleader, project manager and creative go-getter. I’m very thankful that David @dutchie_degeus asked me to help him create and run his musical vision of a two day MC Summit in Huis ter Duin, right next to the beach. :) The shows went killer, all thanks to a great team (including @melyndaraina and colleagues) and to a lot of hands-on preparation and communication.

I got to handpick some of my favorite people to work with and tried to create an environment where everyone could excel, while playing in a hurry-up-and-wait type of show, asking maximum flexibility, patience, while also trying to have fun and keep it musical when feeling pressure from a tight script and sitting in an infinity room full of mirrors haha. Both days each had their own musical theme which was fun to create and explore. I really enjoy achieving those goals when the stakes are high, and making sure no one gets burned out along the way. I think we did it.

Part of the reason for this post is also to put my name a little more out there for future opportunities! I want to do more behind-the-scenes type of work, taking care of everything on- but also offstage, including creating and composing tunes, setlists & clicktracks, showrunning, creative sparring & directing, (rehearsal) scheduling, and I can check in the group at the hotel and park the car if need be ;) (but would nowadays rather delegate tbh) So hit me up! Voor het tv programma ‘als ik het zing’ met @carrie_ten_napel bewerkte ik het liedje ‘Beloof je dat’ van @maan.de.st naar een mix tussen ‘Neo klassiek en Electro pop’ . Samen met @thejimmys.official speelde we deze bewerking met de geweldige @emmakokofficial .

Ook hier werd @carrie_ten_napel weer even uitgedaagd om die fenomenale Whitney uithaal in te zetten, maar lukte dat wederom nét niet 😂
