the new single of our upcoming album ‘CAREFREE’ is out now.
the album will be out on 26 February 2027.

we’ve been working on this record for a looong time. some of my friends have known how long i’ve been sitting on it, how much i’ve changed it, and how much i’ve built it up in my head.

am i actually moving in the right direction? am i good enough? how much of what I’m chasing is actually what I want? what am i afraid of? after freshcakes, i thought i’d have more answers.

instead, i spent whole days with half-finished songs on my laptop, changing one thing, changing it back. finishing my degree, trying to trust my instincts, watching friends move on while I’m figuring out what I actually wanted to make. still music was made with deadlines, bills, bad sleep, dirty dishes, and early mornings.

but album 2 problems showed up as verse 2 problems. i spent way too long on those lines, took em out, put em back. the same project files on the screen glowing back at me, all while the pressure closed in. sometimes wondering if i actually liked what i was making, or just liked the idea of having somewhere to go.

somewhere in all of that, CAREFREE started to take shape. it felt like a funny title, because the record is basically about the opposite. trying to accept that you’re never going to have everything figured out, and that maybe you don’t have to. learning to trust that things will work, even when you don’t know exactly where you’re going. that idea became pretty important to me in the process.

and being in a band is everything to this record. i couldn’t have made it without my genius friends/producers/bandmates. you were endlessly patient with my overthinking, always pushing ideas further, always trying to make it better.
forever grateful for my best friends, and for every friend who brought their talent to make this record what it is.

today we FINALLY get to start sharing it WITH YOU ❤️
