RETURN OF THE BUFFALO: TATANKA OWE AKUPI
We got to check out the Brooklyn running of the herd this afternoon. St. Ann’s Warehouse brought us this wonderful thing created by Amir Nizar Zuabi in partnership with Elders from Lenape and Lakota Tribes. Respect to all the puppeteers everywhere.

Our first visit to the Powerhouse Arts space in Gowanus to see the “Ark” show curated by Eric Fischl. And just in time - it closed yesterday.

“A sweeping group exhibition composed entirely of animal sculptures that foster a sense of connection and awe channeled through artists’ eyes, The Ark brings together 90 sculptures and installations in myriad materials. The Ark refers directly to the myth of the Deluge, an event of epic scale that becomes a metaphor for the present moment, where environmental and social upheaval converge.”

That’s a hell of a space they have there. I’m looking forward to more shows there.
