CALLING ALL LOGAN AVENUE BUSINESSES 🇲🇽

For Cultura Fest, on Sunday, September 13th I want to do something that gives back directly to the neighborhood that continues to give so much to all of us.

My goal is simple: make sure kids from our community can come out, celebrate Mexican Independence Day, create some art, pick out a book and enjoy a meal + drink — all for FREE.

I’m asking our Logan Avenue storefronts, creatives, vendors and neighbors to help if it’s within your means. We’re collecting art supplies, new or gently used books, food, ingredients and small monetary donations to help make it happen.

We’ll also raffle (4) $50 gift cards that can ONLY be spent at participating Logan Avenue storefronts — putting those dollars right back into our neighborhood businesses.

And to support the small businesses and creatives who show up for our community, we’ll raffle off (2) canopies, (2) tables and (2) wagons to participating storefronts and vendors to help with their day-to-day operations.

No donation is too small. Even sharing this helps.

Let’s celebrate our culture while putting something back into the Barrio. 🇲🇽❤️ Thank you all in advance!

we’re relocating to third ave, chula vista. 🖤🎞️

our new chapter begins august 17. our national city location will remain open through august 15, so there’s still a little time before we officially make the move.

before we do, we wanted to take a moment to look back at how far we’ve come.

back in 2023, we were developing and scanning film out of the extra room in our apartment in national city. shortly after, @mylowshoots619 and @santanaplantera welcomed us into the co-lab and gave us a space to grow. because we were both still working full-time jobs outside of the lab, we could only open on wednesdays–but somehow, week after week, our community kept showing up. familiar faces became day ones, and new faces slowly became part of the family.

as we continued to grow, we wanted to make film processing more accessible, so we partnered with @longplay.hifi to host one of our first drop boxes for anyone who couldn’t make it to us on wednesdays. every step forward happened because people believed in us, trusted us with their memories, and were patient with us while we figured it all out.

running a film lab has never been easy. it’s expensive, time consuming, and requires so much care behind the scenes, but it’s also been one of the most rewarding things we’ve ever built.

on february 20, 2024, we signed the lease to our very first brick-and-mortar. having a storefront in the south bay felt like a dream we thought was still years away, but somehow everything aligned, and we’re grateful that god opened that door for us.

today, we have an incredible team of rockstars who make this place what it is every single day: @dominick.llorin, @pixbykav, @sd_sharpsh00ter, @chris_gonz0, and @ashleyordaniel. we truly couldn’t do this without them.

to every customer, friend, family member, neighboring business, and person who’s supported us since day one, thank you! whether you dropped off one roll or one hundred, shared our posts, came to an event, or simply believed in what we were building, you’ve been a part of this story.

and now, we’re excited to begin our next chapter on third avenue in chula vista. see you on august 17. 🖤
