Swipe for show poster ➡️

I’ve seen BA Johnston play a lot. Here he is singing beside my feet at a Sappyfest show literally 1 million years ago at George’s Roadhouse in Sackville. When he sang about Deepfryers with a little keyboard, fed us cheesies, and called me four-eyes, I was hooked.

Sharing a show poster and stage with him was not on my bingo card but MAN, AM I PUMPED.

Come for the fun, stay for the bathroom serenade.
See you there.

Final Porta-Confessional recap! Thank you to everyone who helped and interacted with the project! We wouldn’t have been able to do it without our awesome friends and partners. If you interacted with the sculpture during Sappy please share your experience! We’ve loved hearing the stories trickle in. My favourite so far has been hearing from a friend of a guitarist who went in late at night and was in there for a few minutes alone before a voice from the other side went: “so are you going to confess?” And then they talked for over an hour! Yay for talking to strangers and learning about eachother.

Also if you have any great pictures of the project (particularly of the before…) please send them my way!

Thank you to Lucas Morneau for the first four pictures and to @strutsgallery and @sappyfest for the support and for being awesome :)
