gradmaxxing + pics over the years + reaching unc status 😔.. thank you everyone! ❤️ also who the HECK let me double major? 💀 anyways…

a daughter. a sister. a friend. an aunt. a cousin. a student. a musician. a flute player. a teacher. a performer. a co-worker.

through the years, i’ve been called many things, but not all of them were kind. meanest things i’ve been told was when people said “you’re so insecure it DROWNS me” and you’re “selfish, self centered, too sensitive, a baby” and “it’s all in your head” after explaining my feelings. “annoying””professional victim”…. there were times people weren’t supportive of my career, backed out of important performances and milestones, tried to make me feel small. for a while, I thought I deserved that, that I was just overreacting. even things that no person should ever be told. a car accident, fear, doubt….there were moments i truly didn’t think i would make it to this chapter of my life.

but somehow, through every late night, every disappointment, every insult both physical and mental, every tear, every rehearsal, and every quiet moment where i had to convince myself to keep going… i did. I want to teach students, perform, help people and enjoy life because I only get one 💫

and maybe that’s enough for me right now. I had my graduation perfectly planned out. who was gonna go, who would be cheering me on, who would support me, etc. I carry a lot of memories in my heart so graduation was very bittersweet ❤️‍🩹 I machine my relatives from up above looking down at me and feeling even a little bit proud.

a few days ago, i was just a little girl with a dream but now, i graduated from the moores school of music as a double major in both Music Performance and Music Education 🤍 Next stop… grad school… In Dr. Meals’ class me and my classmates always joked around saying “Dr. Ferrufino” but how about let’s make that a reality?…. next stop… maybe getting my masters and doctorate in New York, Boston, or Miami?
