Sara Coriat @saracoriat is currently Artistic Director and Fair Coordinator of CAN Art Fair, with editions in Madrid and Ibiza, where she has worked for over seven years. Her role includes international gallery scouting and relations, shaping the fair’s artistic direction, and overseeing communications, institutional partnerships, and curated sections. Alongside her work at CAN, she has curated exhibitions at spaces including Arniches 26 and Ponce+Robles as well as independent projects like Lo de siempre, donde siempre at La Mancha in Madrid, bringing together a younger generation of artists. IN RESIDENCE: Sara Coriat Luna came to our residency to work alongside Irene Luna. Learn about their residency project below in their own words… “Irene Luna and Sara Coriat, an artist and a curator, are driven by a shared curiosity for the creative process. We divide roles, but we’re also open to swapping them, stretching our ways of working to find friction points that lead to new ideas. During our time at La Moissie we want to inhabit an open laboratory, guided by observation, play, open-ended questions, mutual support, and an exploration of each other’s creative processes. We imagine setting small daily challenges: choosing a random word to guide the day, opening a book to let a page shape the hours ahead, or responding to prompts through visuals or text. Observing patterns in the surroundings, inventing everyday rituals. These actions would act as sparks to think and create together, without pressure around the outcome. Even though we spend a lot of time together personally and support each other closely at work, this will be the first time we sit down to collaborate hand in hand. We’re curious to discover what this process, this experiment, might be like. We’re coming with open ears and minds, ready to learn from each other, to share ideas that might take us further. To accompany each other’s processes without intruding, and to create a space for dialogue with room for difference, tension, play, and care” Français 🇫🇷 ci-dessous… Español 🇪🇸 abajo… #lamoissiecreativeresidency #manoirdelamoissie #creativeresidency #curator

Our first visual artist–curator duo, Irene Luna @irenelunaz @es.la.chica and Sara Coriat @saracoriat are here in residence together. Although they already support each other closely in their work, this marks the first time they are collaborating hand in hand, using the residency as a laboratory — guided by observation, play, open-ended questions, mutual support, and an exploration of each other’s creative processes. We’re thrilled to have them with us for this first collaboration and can’t wait to see what takes shape.
