CONFESSIONS OF A CARPET COLLECTOR: Hi, it’s me, the world’s worst carpet salesperson. Today, I want to share a story close to my heart - a story of my deep affection for Moroccan textiles, especially those vintage rugs with their own unique tales.

For more than a decade, I've been drawn to these woven marvels, crafted by nameless artisans who poured their souls into every thread. There's a magic to vintage rugs that speaks to me - they're not about perfection, but authenticity.

What's my obsession, you ask? It's those vintage rugs with patterns that seem to dance to their own rhythm. They're not perfectly symmetrical, and that's what makes them perfect. Each one is a testament to the bend of handmade wooden looms, each knot a whisper of the weaver's spirit.

Imperfections? They're like life's little quirks, making these rugs all the more endearing. And as for colors, they weren't meticulously planned; they were spontaneous strokes of creativity, born from the fibers at hand.

Now, here's the real deal - as I mentioned earlier I'm terrible at selling these beauties. I'd rather be out there hunting for more, or simply admiring their presence in my collection. So, I've decided it's time to share them with the world, to let them find new homes where they'll be cherished—I need to downsize my collection before I get permanent hoarder status!

Rest assured, I'm keeping the ones that hold pieces of my soul, the ones that have silently shared in my stories. So, stay with me for more tales, more rugs, and more of the genuine beauty that is vintage.

ADVENTURES, CONFLICTS, and TREASURES: Today, I want to share a little glimpse into my world of textile sourcing, which has been my passion and profession for over 12 incredible years in Morocco. It's been a wild ride filled with beautiful textiles, meaningful experiences, laughter, and a few bumps along the way.

Now, I've confessed to you before that I'm not the world's greatest salesperson, especially when it comes to my personal textile collection. My heart is so intertwined with these pieces that it's often hard to part with them. But that's not the only challenge I've faced.

You see, I've had the honor of helping amazing clients from all over the world source textiles for their businesses and projects here in Morocco. And it's been a fantastic journey, exploring the bustling markets and hidden gems together. But there's a twist – I've never presented my personal collection to these clients.

Why, you ask? Well, it always felt like a conflict of interest. To me, part of the magic lies in the thrill of finding textiles on the road, just as I did when I first fell in love with this art. I didn't want to "cheat" my clients out of that experience. So, I kept my collection tucked away.

And then there's the fact that I don't sell online, only through special sales events like the one coming up this Friday (stay tuned!). Selling my textiles this way has been my choice because it adds a unique layer of connection and authenticity to the experience.
A little backstory: In Fez, I had quite a large studio in an ancient house in the medina. When I moved to Tangier, I decided to downsize and use my apartment as a studio. It was a choice made to strike a balance between my passion and my role as a single mom to two wonderful, homeschooled daughters.

Having a separate studio in Fez made it easier to host guests and sell my textiles. But downsizing has its perks too, and it has allowed me to create a more meaningful home life for my
Collection release this Friday! If you’d like a pdf of the pieces on offer, please DM your email.
