Say hello to the cast of TWISTED: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier!

Come see the story of Aladdin from the point of view of Ja’Far: a principled and well-meaning vizier whose every attempt to improve the kingdom is foiled by a foolish sultan, corrupt politicians, miserable theives, and a naive young princess whose refusal to get married is about to plunge his beloved kingdom into war. A parody of both Disney’s Aladdin and Broadway’s Wicked, StarKid’s Twisted is side-splittingly funny, surprisingly heartwarming, and often profane.

While some audiences may be initially turned off by the strong language and sexual humor, they’re brought back around by the show’s ultimate message: that there is value in hope, strength in love, and power in believing that we can make the world a better place. (And…it’s really funny!)

Footlight’s production is directed and choreographed by Hayley de Sousa, with music direction by Christine Chiasson.

Performances are November 14-17 at the Franklin Lodge of Elks. Get tickets now at www.franklinoperahouse.org

The cats—excuse us, CAST—of Twisted have been working hard to bring this show to life! They’re off-book this weekend, then it’s only two more weeks until we load into our performance space at the Franklin Elks in preparation for opening night on November 14th. Do you have your tickets yet?

TWISTED: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier is a hilarious, heartwarming, and profane parody of both Disney’s Aladdin and Broadway’s Wicked that dares to ask the question: “What if Ja’Far was the good guy all along?” If you know, you know. And if you don’t—we hope you’ll take a chance on this very silly show!

The nobles have their own Golden Rule: whoever has the gold…gets tickets to TWISTED! 🌟

TWISTED is a hilarious parody musical that tells the story of Disney’s Aladdin from the point of view of Ja’Far: an energetic and principled young vizier with dreams of ushering his beloved kingdom into a new Golden Age. But as he rises through the ranks of the palace, he is confronted by corrupt noblemen, a disinterested sultan, angry tigers, and perhaps worst of all…a common theif. Will science and reason win out in the end? Or will Ja’Far’s name join the ranks of the villains whose stories were twisted before him?

This show contains profanity and sexual innuendo and is not intended for young audiences. Performances are November 14-17 at the Franklin Lodge of Elks. Get tickets at www.franklinoperahouse.org
