Finally replaced my 4x4 scrim that got stolen in SF. Been running 3/4 stop diffusion but full stop makes a huge difference. Anyway, that is all. Bye

I was only at #AAJA26 for two days, but gosh darn it, those two days were so so full… with love, gratefulness, and inspiration from everyone attending!! 🥹❤️

Oh, and that championship belt def made the rounds for sure haha

Till next year in San Francisco!

Standing room only for a format most of the industry hasn’t caught up to yet.

Last week, I moderated an incredible AAJA panel on vertical video. My friends @varoonbose @markjkim_ broke it all down, the “gas moment” (iykyk), writing conversational scripts, and why shares beat views every time. The room was packed and the questions didn’t stop, even when the clock did. Stay tuned for more on that front…

The next day, I got to speak with our keynote, Ann Curry. Her words on storytelling despite risk or difficulty stuck with me, especially her father’s advice: “pay attention to your inner voice” and do the work that will “make you feel proud of yourself on your last day.” Just an awesomely principled journalist.

Then, the ultimate surprise - the Sports Task Force won Affinity Group of the Year! 🏆

Two conventions ago, an award for teamwork and leadership was just an idea. This weekend, it was a room full of real people dedicated to expanding the aperture of whose stories get told. That’s what I’m proud of. This dynamic community.

Fairness, decency, and integrity aren’t buzzwords to me - it’s how we build things that last in sports. Massive thanks to our members and partners, especially @cbssports @theathletichq and @espn. And shoutout to @mlb for the league’s support. Whether it’s audience development, widening the talent pool or getting current employees increased visibility, we’re honored to be in your corner!

And thanks to all our members for bringing it at our World Cup watch party - a time was had!! @britspubmpls

PART ONE: I’m 40!!!!!

One of the best nights of my life. Thanks to all my friends who came to celebrate: I’ve been thinking a lot about why this night was so special. It’s hard to put into words. It felt a little bit like I was marrying myself. I’m 40, my kids can use the toilet, and who am I? I am fun, loving, loud, loyal, Texan, a mommy, a wife, a founder, honest, a good friend. I like me. It was a celebration of all I’ve done. I made it. And anyone who knew me as a teenager, maybe I shouldn’t have made it. I was dating 50 year olds and flying to LA. The last 10 years have been the best no question. With my kids and my hubby. Can’t wait to do it for at least 40 more, please.

More pics to come!!!!
