TBT::There’s so many people involved with this undertaking that I couldn’t even tag them all, so imma shout them out down here too😤

So this show happened a year ago(I’m a terrible procrastinator)…but I’m still thinking about it so it’s as good a time as any to post about it! Aye the amount of times I cried during this show is insane. Being in the room with all these joy-filled energies is a blessing in life that you can’t take for granted and the work we did showed how much everyone cares in the room(humble brag or sumn about our Helen Hayes sweep)

Big shoutout to my twins Drew and Anthony for sticking through with me during 6 day weeks and 14 hour days, making the most comprehensive understudy sheet known to man!

I won’t lie to you Instagram. In so many ways the last 12 months of staying alive have been ROUGH. They’ve been full of uncertainty, unexpected emergencies of too many kinds, a raging war with Bethesda parking enforcement, the list really could go on. I am behind on a great deal. I have to text or email so many of you back. But this year has also not been absent of reasons to get out of bed in the morning. Or to laugh. Or to love. Or to grow. So here, in no particular order, are just a few of the people and moments that have been reminding me lately why I freakin love being here so much. (This is an impulsive post, if you do not see yourself here I definitely still love you I just couldn’t find a picture.)

Big, big thanks to everyone involved on the workshop of NOISE IN THE LINE at @roundhousetheatre last week. Decidedly the highest production value for a reading I’ve ever had! Thanks to everyone at Round House for being so game—and to everyone who threw on a set of headphones to go on the journey. And of course to @jaredmezzocchi for leading the grand experiment!

The absolute greatest time at @roundhousetheatre develping our musical, THE CAVE. Thanks to the wonderful festival photographer, Susan Gibson, and to every single person who worked on the show as part of the 2026 Bonnie Hammerschlag National Capital New Play Festival. Two dreamy, collaborative, explorative, productive weeks singing about cave art and fighting fascism.

“The Cave” by Lauren M. Gunderson and Bree Lowdermilk, a new commissioned musical at Roundhouse Theatre as part of the 2026 Bonnie Hammerschlag National Capital New Play Festival.

Had the ultimate pleasure and privilege of being part of the first chapter of this beautiful project’s development. Working alongside all these performers was truly a once in a lifetime experience and I cannot wait to see where this show goes.

We closed THE INHERITANCE p1 &2 on Sunday after starting our first preview back in August and beginning rehearsals back in mid June 🙏 But today I am sitting here just grateful beyond words to have not only worked on something so fulfilling as a gay man with a ridiculously talented group but also to have made beautiful new friendships along the way ❤️
