Oh hi, it’s me again … half hiding behind a camera 🫣

I know it’s important to show my face on here more often so that you can see the person behind the camera and the posts.

This is me with my hair done and makeup on (and in very flattering lighting). I’d be lying if I said I always look this put together 💁🏻‍♀️

My vibe is generally more roll out of bed after hitting snooze 5 times, no time to do my hair, throw smoothie ingredients into a blender, and out the door drinking my breakfast. I’m just not a morning person, although I’d really like to be!!

Thank you so much for being here in my corner. I’m so excited about where this little business of mine is headed. I’ve got all sorts of plans and love having you along for the ride 🤎

Life lately ✨

I had a big birthday this year and like all new decades, it’s a time to re-evaluate life and check in. Check in that you’re living your life on purpose, that you’re doing the things that you always wanted to do to light you up.

I may not have the balance quite right though, I’m pretty close.

As I type this we have the four young boys milling around, Gary in the kitchen making dinner, two dogs sleeping on their bed. Wiremu asking me about getting a new bed for the new house. One had a birthday a couple of weeks ago, one having a birthday in a week.

We are currently selling the house we live in (wow home opens!), we just bought a new house so each kid gets their own bedroom and more space (and pool!) but wait there’s more, we’re also building 🫠

I’ve been working at my partners residential building company for the past two years. I started just with some advice here and there, sitting in on interviews and helping with HR, marketing - things like that. But over the past two years I have shifted from working less in photography and more in the building company.

Now I’m the Operations Manager and I run the day to day operations of the company and managing staff. It’s been a steep learning curve and something I’ve absolutely loved. It’s interesting, challenging and rewarding.

Which brings me to my one creative outlet, photography. This is the space where I can get into my feminine, creative side. Although I can’t fit in as many shoots as I used to, I’m still shooting around once a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less. But as always, every shoot lights me up and brings me joy.

It’s pretty hard to carve out any “me” time but I am loving pilates right now!

With this beautiful weather we’ve been having, they not only bring out the butterflies - they also bring out the shoot requests, and as I’m taking on less this year it’s first in best dressed. I’ve loaded some dates in the link in bio if you want to direct book.
