In 2016 I walked into @viearhletics Puyallup a mom working 2 jobs with a 4 year old never had taken fitness seriously and looked around the room at a bunch of women absolutely giving it everything they had and cheering each other on every step of the way. @jesshansen2 had a whistle around her neck she was jumping around.. dropping it low… fist pumping the air 😂😂… and I thought … am I going to be able to even make it through this class 😅😅.

Needless to say … there’s somethin a lil blaring rap music and sweat does for the soul… so I signed up that day. It was an hour and 10 min round trip for me to this gym and I made that drive for every workout, until soon tacoma opened which was then my spot, where @hillis_t showed me what muscle was made out of 💪🏽, along the way I met dozens and dozens of women who changed my life more than I could EVER tag on this post (but I’ll try) Tacoma is where the True Grit came out, we were working out, outside in tents with headsets during Covid because “6’ apart ain’t stoppin nobody at Vie”. Now I get to workout in my hometown at VIE Gig Harbor.
And while VIE grew from 1 to 7 😍😍😍
My life also grew from a mama of 1 to a mama of 3 🤍

And this month my first baby… my sweet girl who watched her mama be strong, tough, push hard and never give up when I walked into Puyallup Vie when she was just 4 years old … walked into VIE this month with me at 14 for her first class.

Cheers to almost a decade … and to my amazing sweet girl on crushing her first class

My first retreat with @alchemist.coaching , and one for the books 💚

We got away for a few days and dove into so much more than just fitness things.

Connection. Good conversations. Identity shifting. Getting uncomfortable (like really uncomfortable in a sauna that was just over 200°). Trying new things. Laughing until our stomachs hurt. Creating memories together.

And honestly, getting to watch these women step outside of their comfort zones and show up for themselves in new ways was one of my favorite parts of the whole weekend.

@hannahosmon thank you for creating a space and a community where women can come together, feel supported, challenge themselves, and just be themselves. You’ve built something really special here, and I’m lucky to be a part of it.

@meghan.bestlife getting to experience this alongside you, learn from you, and see the impact you’ve already had within this community is so cool.

And to the women who took the time, made the time, and chose to show up for yourselves and for each other, thank you. I know life can be busy, and I don’t take it lightly that you made this a priority. Getting to laugh, connect, grow, and make memories with you all was pretty damn special.

First retreat down, and I already can’t wait for the next!

Best weekend with 7 incredible women at Ragnar Trail Rainier! Together, we tackled 125 miles and 28,288 feet of elevation gain, creating unforgettable memories along the way. So grateful for this adventure and this amazing team! 🫶
