Over the weekend, three of our fabulous instructors became certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) - Level 1! 🎉

During this course, our instructors deepened their understanding of key concepts including:
- Activating muscle memory to support improved turnout
- Selecting and delivering age-appropriate exercises
- Applying muscle memory to promote controlled landings
... and MORE!

The application of this method will help our students develop a stronger understanding of proper ballet technique, learn the WHY and HOW behind each movement, and build strength and control through safe, intentional progressions.

Congratulations to Sophia Newton-Prescott, Sophia Brownlee and Sarah Polis-Mares! We're proud of your commitment to continued education and best teaching practices that help ensure our dancers receive quality training that is safe, efficient and fun.🩰

16 years of something that i wish i could spend forever doing. thank you @updsdanceowatonna for every lesson, every memory, every opportunity, and being my second home. most importantly, thank you to my best friends, coaches, and teammates who stood by me through every challenging low and every incredible high. i wouldn’t be who i am today without all of you.
