Thanks to everyone who came to my thesis show 💜 It was such a special night to share the projects my cohort and I have been working on for so long.

Oliver in Winter has been a challenging and fulfilling project as I worked in new mediums of watercolor and ink. I’ll miss our endless classroom critiques and discussions that constantly pushed my work forward. I’m so grateful for the support of my professors and classmates who encouraged me even when I, time and time again, doubted the project. I came into this program wanting to make children’s books and it’s so wonderful to see my dreams come true and be able to share this book with all of you. I’ll be sharing more of Oliver in Winter soon and hopefully selling copies in the fall ~ stay tuned!

Our show Pick up the Pieces will be up through July 12th at the FIT museum 💫

Hello from my studio! I realized I hadn’t posted a picture of myself in some time and wanted to say 👋, this is me and this is my space where I make my art, unless I’m out sketchbooking in the wild 🌴 Thank you for checking out and supporting my art💞More exciting projects coming this year. (And yes those are toe socks - I don’t wear shoes in the studio - now you know!) 📸: @maxferrostudio #studiovisit #meetthemaker #studiotour #illustrator #illustration #illustrationartists

The Overseas Highway in the Florida Keys is a dream drive over the unlikeliest terrain—a spray of keys amid the swirl of blue and green waters, threaded together by 42 bridges. Just being here is a wonder. 🌴

When we set out to make a guide to the Florida Keys, we wanted to showcase the roadside diners, beloved watering holes, literary and maritime traditions — and the natural beauty too. Because a different wild lives out in these Keys than at the bars of Duval Street, where the piña coladas and margaritas whirl. A vibrancy unfolds quietly, all the time. Beneath the water’s surface where the tarpon swim, divers float among the coral reef with its shock of colors, hunting shipwrecks and their stories.

Dive in with the best crew:
