to my IM, GP and DecoLead, @camrencunanan_ , thank you for all the work you have put into interning and formal. you are absolutely the best partner i could’ve ever asked to work with and i can’t wait to work hard on culture with you next year.

to the interns of ‘26, i miss y’all so bad and am honored to have been the orienter for you all. the memories and laughs we have collected within the past semester are some of the dearest things to me that i will cherish 5ever.

to the prezterns, @ariuira @kolbycruz_3 @adrianbelista , all three of you were such admirable leaders that have inspired every step i’ve taken in FSA so far. even before interning, you guys were such role models to me, and i never would’ve expected to grow close to people i admired so deeply.

i’m so excited for what the next year will bring as the internal culture chair of @utfsa 🇵🇭🤘🧡

Ira Carreon: External Culture Chair
My favorite part about being Culture Chair is getting to bring a story to life through performance. I love seeing culture, creativity, and teamwork all come together, and it’s really rewarding to watch everyone grow more connected and confident throughout the process.

Sarah Yi: 2024 Miss Maganda
What I love most about culture is the vibrancy/richness of history & tradition. After joining FSA, I became a lot more passionate about learning the history of the Philippines and the values that shape the community! I never knew anything about my Filipino heritage, and I’m forever grateful I got the chance to learn more about it through UTFSA!

Also I’m a huge advocate for harana (traditional courtship) LOL

Be sure to come to Maganda Pageant tomorrow night from 6-8PM at the WCP Auditorium!

My most memorable moments in FSA include:
seeing my lineage grow (HUGEEE s/o to all of y’all 🫂) & meeting some of the sweetest, funniest, & kindest people I know!!!!

As a soon to be graduating FSA member, I’ve participated in:
• GOODPHIL 🤘(volleyball since freshman yr & Gunita/cultural since soph yr)
• Filipino Culture Night ‘25 💃🏻
• Maganda Pageant ‘24 👑

Some advice/words of wisdom I would give to anyone considering joining FSA - JUST. DO. IT. JOIN A FAM & MAKE THE EFFORT TO PARTICIPATE IN FSA. WHAT YOU GIVE IS WHAT YOU WILL GET & IT WILL BE AWESOME!!!!!!

I also want to dedicate this post/message to my late ‘Grandma Lola’ (how we called her growing up)… I know I’ve made her & the Benzon-Compas clan proud & I couldn’t have done it without them ❤️‍🔥
