Today I’m more emotional than I’ve felt almost this entire pregnancy because I’m fighting off a bladder infection, I had to get a shot that is making my arm hurt today, have had contractions for three days, pretty sure I have a cold, and I’m just DONEEEE with working at this point. So here’s a picture when from when I didn’t feel like complete ass. ❤️

As excited as my little one is to be a big brother, he’s actually so scared as well. Most days he will tell you that he’s going to be the best protector but in smaller moments you will hear him in a small voice tell you how much he loves this current version of his life and he isn’t ready for it to change. It’s been just us for so long and honestly sometimes I can relate to his feelings of not feeling super ready for this version of our lives to change.

But lucky for us, we have the best man to lead us into this new version of life. So hand in hand we wil start this new chapter of life together and I just know as soon as we all lay eyes on our sweet precious Zion, all our fears about all the changes will melt away.

Grateful for a child who is able to express his feelings so vibrantly so we can help him through them and even more grateful for a strong man who makes every unknown feel way less scary. ❤️

I spent many nights in my head about being one and done when I never wanted that. Treyvon would ask for a sibling often and I would always tell him you’re gonna have to talk to your dad about that. I got super sad one day and threw out almost everything I owned of baby stuff because it was just too painful to keep thinking I’d never do this again. I cried a lot about how I took all of Treyvons firsts for granted because I thought there’d be more and that I couldn’t even remember when he got his first tooth, when he talked for the first time, or even what that first word was.

Then I met @simon_saiz_yoga and he changed my world completely. He loved me in ways I felt undeserving of, he was loud about how he loved me, he was gentle in how he handled me, he took care of things I didn’t even know could be taken off my plate, and he loves my son. I’ve had a lot of happy moments in my life but seeing that test say positive felt like just another way that John was making more of my dreams come true, this is right after he helped get us out of a bad neighborhood and in an actual home. The universe really knew what it was doing putting John in my life because he’s been the biggest blessing that just keeps blessing us.

I’m so grateful that in less than 10 weeks I get to meet baby Zion, the boy who’s half the love of my life. I cannot wait to see John be a dad to him because he’s already an amazing dad to my son. Zion doesn’t even know yet how lucky he is to have a dad like John 🥹😍

Adding someone to your family isn’t always the easiest when you and your baby are so used to just being on your own. This hasn’t always been the smoothest transition and having a son like mine comes with its own additional challenges I was worried at times it wasn’t something John deserved or wanted to deal with. He’s stuck with us through everything, he’s taken the time to research and try to understand Treyvon, and he’s been the best father figure we could have ever asked for.

He reaches Treyvon on a level he understands, he speaks life and wisdom into him, he teaches him new sports, he finds new ways to help calm him, he steps in when Treyvons being not so great to me, he spoils him, pours into him, and most importantly he loves him. And Treyvon sure loves his Johnny. I never thought in my wildest dreams this would be the life we get to live, with someone that’s as amazing as John. But Treyvons going to be such a better man because he has him 🥹

September was a good one.

Work has been picking up after a pretty slow summer season.
Celebrated my birthday.
Took a trip to California.
Booked new clients.
Ended one chapter and began a new one. It can be scary to do, but I see God already working through the leap. 🥹

How was your September? Tell me what you’re working towards in October!
