A bunch of workouts in 98 minutes at @98gamesofficial in Sydney with a team of strong, fit women.
Thanks for having me girls!

We podiumed 2nd in the elite women’s division & had a blast in the comp 💪🏼

I like the format of getting all of the workouts done with minimal rest, over sitting around with the workouts spread out over a day or 2.
Get in, get it done (and it’s much easier with a toddler).

Thanks for looking after us @pamz_m … like family, we love you 🩷

Thanks to @brettkelly_84 & Blake for supporting me in all my endeavours, it means the most to be able to still do what I love doing with you both behind me.

Now it’s time to fix some injuries & enjoy some down time & come back next year hopefully stronger 💪🏼

Coach Ayo — on what it actually takes

“𝙊𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣, 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣.” 👆

Amateur boxing asks for something most sports don’t.
You’re not just committing to a timetable. You’re
committing to:

🧱 The program
🧱 Your coach
🧱 Your training partners
🧱 The sparring partners you haven’t met yet

When the bell goes, you’re trusting those people more
than almost anyone in your life. Their corner work. Their
honesty about whether you’re ready. Their control in
sparring when you’re having an off day.

That kind of trust isn’t built by blow-ins. It’s built
week by week, by people who keep turning up.

And it runs both ways. Commit to us, and you get a room
full of coaches and partners who are committed to you.
That’s the deal.

So my advice is simple: look around before you sign up
anywhere. Find the right place. Find the right people.

That’s exactly what the free trial is for. Seven days.
Every class. Meet the coaches, meet the room, and decide
if this is where you want to commit.

🗓 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 🗓

You told us. We listened. Then we attempted to get this right the third time of trying…

We’ve been asking trialists and new members what works
for them. The answer was clear: more boxing, and a week
that’s easier to plan around.

Here’s what’s changed:

🥊 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 is now a full 60-minute All-Levels
boxing class with Coach Sara, our reigning WBA Oceania
Featherweight Champion.

🥊 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗜𝗜𝗧 is gone. You’ve been backing the 6am
All-Levels and evening Open Sparring, so that’s where
Thursday’s energy goes.

The upshot: real boxing at lunchtime 𝗠𝗼𝗻, 𝗪𝗲𝗱 & 𝗙𝗿𝗶
(𝟭𝟮:𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺), and 𝟮𝟱 sessions across the week.

First jab or fiftieth sparring round, there’s a class
that fits:
🧱 Fundamentals for first-timers
🧱 All-Levels & Intermediate to build on
🧱 Sparring when you’re ready
🧱 Juniors & Teens with Coach Luiz
🧱 Masters Sparring on Sundays

📌 Save this post so the timetable’s always one tap away.

🧤 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦 🧤

Coach Sara Jalonen — WBA Oceania Featherweight Champion 🏆

“𝙄𝙩’𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙖 𝙩𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩. 𝙄𝙩’𝙨 𝙖 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩.” 👆

Worth noting who’s saying it. Earlier this month, Sara
returned to the ring after more than a year out and
stopped India’s Sushila Virat in Round 3 to claim the
vacant WBA Oceania Featherweight title.

The biggest barrier to boxing isn’t fitness. It’s fear.
And for a lot of women, it’s walking into a room and
wondering if they’ll be the only one.

Sara has trained with mostly male partners for years and
never had a problem. Early on, some were too careful with
her. She appreciated it. But she wanted more:

“𝙄 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙖 𝙜𝙪𝙮 𝙩𝙧𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙘𝙠 𝙢𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙩.
𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣.”

That’s respect. That’s the culture.

Everybody knows your name. People help each other out.
Training partners become actual friends. It’s the
opposite of the big-box gym where you don’t know anyone,
and don’t really want to.

Whoever you are, there’s a place for you here.

Your first week is on us.

Always late to the grid of late…
BUT- Better late than never!!

Got to watch 2 of my best boxing girl pals kill it a couple of weeks ago!!
Both took out the WBA Oceania Titles in separate weight divisions!

So cool to have some of our other long time boxing girls ringside altogether!!!

From the Amateurs to the Pro’s and everything in between!!! 🥊🥊🥊 @saramej @skyefalzon @shanelldargan @_jessmessina
