▫️In the beginning and at the end of summer we receive a bracelet from our leadership team. And each week of camp we do the same with the campers, we give them a bracelet. I remember, I was telling the campers each week: “this bracelet isn’t magic and it won’t make you closer to God by itself, but every time you see it, I hope it reminds you of how God worked in your heart this week.” So, the bracelet for the end of the summer I named it 🧂SALT🧂

🧂When you pour salt around food, something interesting happens. The salt creates an environment where water is drawn out of the cells through osmosis. Slowly, the food loses moisture, its texture changes, and eventually even its flavor is affected. Think about food being preserved by salt. The salt changes the environment around it, and that change eventually affects what is inside. In the same way, I was changed from the inside-out.

Lord, I’ve seen your blessings everyday this summer- from the small joys to the big moments. From campers worshipping you with their hands held high, to quiet walks back to the cabin, to Sunday morning staff bible studies with my girls, to endless laughter with friends. From counselors sharing the gospel to campers accepting your son as their savior. Even when I don’t see it or feel it, you’re working. Thank you for yet another unforgettable summer, you are so good to us. What a friend we have in you!!

This summer the Lord showed me what He can do with a simple heart that is willing.

It was more than I could have ever asked for. The Lord taught me that obedience means laying everything down without knowing what He has planned, but trusting that His plans are always better than my own. The Lord emptied my vessel that had been filled with the things of this world, and He faithfully stripped away what wasn’t from Him and filled me with what only He could.
Through Christ, I found my identity and discovered gifts I didn’t even know He had placed inside of me. He gave me a community to walk alongside, the opportunity to love and serve kids, and showed me that every time I pour myself out for His kingdom, He is faithful to fill my cup again and again. TYJ for a life changing summer in the midst of your creation

Oh how my God has provided!

This summer has been the biggest blessing I could have ever asked for. God has provided in more ways than I could possibly count!

This summer I had the absolute privilege of ministering to young girls who have become friends along side amazing people who became closer than family.

Thank you Jesus for working in and through me in ways I could never have imagined! You have done the most amazing work and I have learned so much! You are so sovereign and unbelievably good.

our God is so good and so intentional! these people. this team. this place. these kids! i could praise jesus forever for this summer! the way the Lord moves at eagle lake is beyond anything ive ever experienced. thank you jesus x1000 for these beautiful people, the opportunity to grow His kingdom this summer, getting baptized with my best friend and so much more! i will hold this summer close to my heart forever! 🌻💕💐

Thank you Jesus for another summer of fun and learning. The Lord blessed me with experiences that challenged me and tested me, and my reliance on him has only been strengthened. Took on a little elevation this summer with an open ended prayer. My love for everyone that was apart of this summer will never cease.
