Mumbai-based designer Mishty Shah for @barse.in presents Be A Doll, a fashion project developed at Atlas SkillTech University - ISDI that questions the narrow beauty ideals many grew up absorbing through dolls: skinny, white, blonde, silent. Reimagining the doll through an Asian lens, the collection looks toward Indian, Chinese, and Thai cultural references with care, using silhouette and styling to challenge surface-level representation and ask what it means to see ourselves as beautiful first. The dolls we saw never carried our faces, only fragments of a story misunderstood.
