POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

HUGE congrats to the @specsfordevs team on the glasses launch! It was especially lovely to see lenses from talented creators I know being shown on stage. 💜

I'mma be real. When it was announced that the consumer version was coming out in a year, I was maaad skeptical! 😂 As much as I love the 2024 spectacles, I did not think they were going to be ready for prime time in a year.

Little did I know they had been secretly cooking things up in the lab LOL. I first got a sneak peek of them a few months ago, and I was legit impressed by the form factor. They are cute and comfy! I finally got to do a short demo at the launch party, and what stood out to me was how solid the hand tracking was. I can't wait to do a deeper dive with them.

As always, it was wonderful getting to spend time with the community! The only thing that would have made it better was if more creators had the opportunity to attend. But this is just the start, and I hope there will be an even bigger and better celebration next year!🎉

Speaking of the dev community you know I have to give Joe, Steven, and Jesse their flowers genuinely caring nurturing and supporting the creators. Thank you! I look forward to this next chapter!

Danny from Tap 4 Technologies and his team won 2nd place at the @mit Reality Hack at AWE for Snap Spectacles.

He teamed up with Tejas and Sasha to build Zappatory Labs, an AR experience that teaches you how to build real breadboard circuits step by step using a floating AI tutor named Zappy. A $15 electronics kit from Amazon, a $10 ESP32 board, and a pair of Snap Spectacles is all you need. Also compatible with the new Snap Specs dropping later this year.

Multiple 3 AM dev sessions, a lot of debugging, and one incredible team. Proud of what they built.

TIL, “boots with the fur” doesn’t refer to furry boots. 😅

Man, I love a silent disco. It’s a good thing everyone else’s has headphones on too.

Former @imgur employee so unfortunately my meme database was professionally trained in the 2010s and has never fully recovered.

I may look like a mysterious introvert but internally I’m still reacting to life with ancient internet references and memey sunglasses.

Can’t believe it’s already been a week since Unreal Fest. Went to Orlando not knowing what to expect and came back inspired, with new friends and meaningful connections.

Already thinking about how we can show up even bigger next year. Would love to have a booth showcasing the power of our Pixel Canvas platform built on top of UE5 😉

And that’s a wrap on #AWE24! This year I had a blast being a Track Chair for the Creator talks for most of a day, where I met incredible folks credited to wonderful things. I also helped run demos of @pencilxr on the floor, getting lots of positive feedback on the lessons I’ve been writing! Then, SURPRISE! @pillowsocial won an Auggie for Best Consumer App! What an honor to work on something so widely appreciated. Long Beach treated us well, instead of touching grass we touched sand with friends. Let’s keep making really cool projects!!! #iFeelSpatial!
