This year, one BFA Advertising classroom at SVA transformed into a mini ad studio with assignments for real clients as part of an exciting new course, Advertising Portfolio: Agency. Under the direction of instructors and award-winning industry pros Jay Marsen and Alexei Beltrone, three of our Advertising seniors–Elyza Nachimson, Katie Chen, and Seungyoon Kwon–presented their concepts to the prominent environmental nonprofit WildAid. One of these was incorporated into an ad campaign in collaboration with the James Beard Foundation, which celebrates small acts by ordinary people reusing leftovers to reduce food waste as part of WildAid's new initiative 'The Environment Excuse.'🍝   The ads are now featured online and on billboards and kiosks across NYC and major cities from Chicago to Los Angeles. Swipe through to see some of the out-of-home ads and exclusive behind-the-scenes shots from the photoshoot with SVA students, faculty, and staff. Visit theenvironmentexcuse.org/foodwaste/ to learn how repurposing food waste can help save the planet! 🌏   How many of the 50 billboards can you spot around the five boroughs? 👀   Special thanks to Stephanie Hill from WildAid.
