JAN 2026 RECAP: 🗽edition | The only thing running through my mind in January is that I’m a lucky lucky lucky girl. I kept my trips a secret until I left because to be honest, I was petrified of them. I’d been away from NY in 12 years and in time time, I was afraid that I’d gotten too soft for the place I called home and that feeling like I was my most safest and favourite self was just a fluke or product of nostalgia. But being back in the city just made me feel like I can breathe again (despite the -10C temps) and I’m right back home. One of my best friends said to me right before I left back for Singapore, “You shouldn’t have started the year with NY, now the rest of the year is going to suck because you can’t top that…” he was joking of course but now, challenge accepted for 2026 😉❤️
