In 2022, @sashayazov and I created «PING1000» — a collaborative zine built around Sasha’s FIFA’s in-game photographs

I painted directly onto the images, the process resulted in around 50 individual works, from which a selection was chosen for the book

We brought these works together as a limited-edition artist book

100 editions
€25 each
Signed and hand-painted

DM me if you want to buy a zine or an original piece from this compilation of works. Some of the original A3/ Acrylic works are also available

“Every major cultural category, from sports to music to entertainment, has benefited from standardized collectibles that help people discover, collect, and engage with the people they admire. Contemporary art has never had that. We’re creating a collectible format for today’s artists that makes collecting more approachable while helping people discover, collect, trade, and follow artists throughout their careers,”

In case it wasn’t obvious the, the point of this page is that contemporary art definitely does have that its just a little harder to get to, but I agree that making it more accessible is how we get more people engaged in it.

I disagree with the standardisation approach, it makes sense in a sports format where someone can collect every player in a given league, but with art a standardised collection means curation, and while I do rate C100’s curation that means exclusion. Consumer has to wait for C100 to discover someone, decide they’re good enough then release a new collection before they can join the set.

I’m probably overthinking this, it was fun to open a pack, I still have ones I want missing so @ if you want to swap!

Sasha Yazov (@sashayazov) for Issue One.

Sasha Yazov (b. 2000), based in Tbilisi, Georgia, is an independent artist whose practice is closely connected to visual explorations of the virtual. In his work, the artist captures scenes from video games through screenshots, archiving them and transforming these intangible imprints of virtuality by filtering them through his own memory.
