Found the perfect Valentine for my gold Calendograf in this sharpAF steel flame-lug variant, courtesy of @hillman.watches I’d been on the hunt for a Movado calendar watch for quite some time… and somehow ended up with two in the span of a month. Funny how that works!

Concluding #bluewatchmonday with this awesome Like New Old Stock (LNOS) 36mm stainless steel Bucherer Classic Automatic. The Bucherer was produced sometime between the late 1960s and 1970s and is extremely reminiscent of Eterna-Matic 1000 models. This is due to the fact that Bucherer produced many watches during the 1960s and 1970s under so-called “white label” agreements, where watch parts suppliers or brands themselves would create Bucherer-branded watches using components that were also utilized by other brands. A well-documented example of this is the Bucherer 5 Atmos Chronograph, which is nearly identical to the Chronotron Skychief and a BWC chronograph model from the same era, with the only noticeable difference between the three being their branding. The Bucherer Classic features a polished steel case and is mounted on its original OEM blue calfskin leather strap, which is secured by a metal tang buckle. The Automatic features a blue sunburst dial with applied white lacquer coated index hour markers, white tritium coated hands, and a date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The tritium lume plots and hands have aged beautifully and acquired a warm custard colored patina. Overall, the Bucherer remains in LNOS condition and is a wonderful example of a seldom-seen Bucherer white label wristwatch, which predates the founding of the now well-known Carl F. Bucherer brand. - DM for Pricing / More Info !

I recently brought a dial lot that clearly came from the estate of a ENWCo dial worker, lots of prototype and unreleased dials in the lot. On the left is the standard hour disc for for the Elgin direct read watches, on the right is a black hour disc that I've never seen or found reference to. Have you? Let me know please! #elginwatch #americanmade #1950sfashion #lordelgin #jumphour #jumphourwatch #enwco

As promised I am posting a picture of a WWII-era Movado that I obtained along with a conquering horde of other collectible timepieces for the princely sum of $15. Included in the mix were a Gruen Veri-Thin; a rose gold Gruen Curvex; an assortment of Bulovas from the 1950s and ‘60s; a Hamilton Medford; a couple of Lord Elgins, including one 30-jewel automatic with a hacking movement that has one of the most intricate movements I’ve ever seen; a WWI-era Elgin trench watch; a 1963 Omega Constellation; a Vulcain from the mid-60s; a 1970 Certina Argonaut; and two vintage Heuer stopwatches. Score! #vintagewatch #movado

~1941 Hamilton Endicott in gold case with sector Dial and blued hands. Engraved 1942. This model has seen a resurgence in interest lately as one was worn by Cillian Murphy in Oppenheimer. It's a diminutive piece, not of the size insecure male collectors gravitate towards... But beautiful. #hamilton #hamiltonchronicles #hamiltonendicott #vintagehamilton @satellite73 @hamiltonchronicles @artdecowristwatches

Although it is rarely worn, I do enjoy this NOS Wyler Dyna-Wind, which maintains its original velvet band, matching buckle, and warranty sticker on the back. This is circa 1972. #vintagewatch #wylerwatch

A 17-jewel mid-sixties Bulova self-winder with a great hacking movement is on the wrist today. Another estate sale find, this sturdy little beut is original right down to the signed crown. It keeps perfect time, and I do love this thing. #vintagewatch #bulova
