Today we’re celebrating a very special little Neighbourhood member.

Happy 1st Birthday to beautiful Billie! 💛

Billie has become a familiar little face around The Neighbourhood, often popping into @satovillage with her lovely mum Kat, who has been part of our community for years through @nbrhd_boxing .

Watching families grow and milestones unfold is one of the greatest joys of being part of a community like this.

“𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭.”

My daughter said this the other day and it really stayed with me.

There’s something about the way kids understand the world. They don’t always have the words for it, but they feel it. They trust what’s happening in their body before they try to explain it away.

Somewhere along the way, most of us learn to override that. We stop trusting themselves because we’ve spent years overriding what we feel in order to be who we thought we needed to be.

But your body keeps the signal.
Your system still knows.

Sometimes the work isn’t about figuring everything out.
It’s about coming back into relationship with that quiet knowing that’s been there the whole time.
