It feels like the sand is still settling down and Ramp 2 to Ramp 3 hosted straight closeouts rolling into high tide this morning, apart from the occasional delicious left, but damn, that a-frame... Yeeeew! Dead keen to film it from the water with a decent pulse on the mid-tide with Icebergs framed in the backdrop. The autumn air and water temp are just beautiful at the moment. Slay 🏄‍♂️✨ With the weather all sh*te tonight, it feels like the perfect time to drop this edit from Friday night's sunset sessions in the pouring rain. I've had the most perfect Monday me day soaking up the @WSL quarters on @YouTube, reading, arvo snoozing and enjoying a little me time in my trackies. The chicken drumsticks are marinating for the BBQ and fresh veggies all set for an oven roasting. I love that there are four of my local mates featured in this surf clip - @fredcarmody @jordi_bream1 Trent and @saulhirner in the South corner. Community strong. I have no doubt that one day soon we'll see @fredcarmody stomp a 10-point aerial in a big surf comp, much like @griffin_cola in the West today. Happiness is.. 🏄🏻‍♀️🏄🏻‍♂️✨ The only kind of Monday blues I’m interested in - soaking up the sun rising over Ben Buckler and a Monday morning film sesh with my local crew is the perfect way to shake off that post weekend downer, especially with all of the legends in the South corner at sunrise this morning. Super fun swim apart from some numbnuts that I’ll call Captain Shouty, who was carrying on like a proper pork chop out there, calling people off waves that he was nowhere near/yelling at them and then kicking his hardboard out at other surfers around him… bemusing to watch a grown man throwing his toys out of the pram like a 2-year-old toddler tantrum. I wasn’t going to mention it, as it was such a small part of the session, but be better man. Anyway, happy Monday frothers and thank you to each and every one of you who said g’day in the surf on the beach or promenade this morning. You all put a massive smile on my face to start the week.
