What a wonderful Labour Day weekend spent with my mom. It’s the simple things in life that matter most. We cooked, baked, decluttered, organised, laughed, had grounding intimate and vulnerable discussions and loved on ourselves. The icing on the cake was coming across what I consider to be treasure! Papa you were taken from us far too soon but your legacy lives on. A man of vision, strength and integrity - you taught us to be strong, self sufficient and unwavering in whatever we set our minds to. Finding your intact wallet filled with memories, your ID Card, diary with notes you made for that year, receipts for work on the homestead that you built for us, bank deposit book, currency and more was a vivid walk down memory lane. We were in awe as we giggled and reminisced going through it. I will forever treasure this bit of you and our family history. Thank you for your vision, hard work and tenacity which set us up for success. Your legacy is STRONG and lives on in each of us! Gone but never forgotten - forever in our hearts. Few snapshots from the 'moderate exercursion' exploring Abbots Cliff and Tom Moore's Tavern, lead by Dr. David Chapman. We were co-lead by botanist and environmental expert @bdawildherbs . It was an early 7am rise, but 1/3 of my small circle @wannaknowher_ tagged along for the journey. Thoroughly enjoyed trekking, climbing, and hiking what I consider, my back yard. Needless to say we were banged and bruised by the end... ever grateful for the knowledge and plant based truths that were imparted to us, and the crew. Glad I took notes on the vast plants growing wild, that I've been oblious to; now proud to say I understand their medicinal uses. Thank you again Dr. Champman for coordinating this exercursion🏔🤿🔎🥾📚📸
