hi. i’m not sure how else i wanted to write this, but i wanted to speak from the heart.

nine years ago today, my mental health fell to an all time low. it honestly felt like a strange choice to leave a night as fun as my high school homecoming, but what transpired that night left me feeling uncertain about myself and my self-worth. i almost let intrusive thoughts take over, but i didn’t give in.

one year ago today, i joined a local creative community in the heart of downtown gr. i discovered the collective a day or two after their last event, so i made the commitment to go to their next one and put myself out there. little did i know what followed that night would soon change my life forever.

i share this because i know how small the world can feel at times, but i hope it also encourages you to find your light within your community. you don’t have to have everything figured out. it’s all part of the journey.
you’re meant to be.
you matter.
you are loved.
keep going.
& i’m glad you’re here today. ❤️

In Episode 2 of Becoming, I sat down with Savana Glisson to hear one of the most powerful testimonies of surrender, identity and trusting God.

She lost her relationship.
She lost her health.
She lost her job.
She lost her home.
She lost her internship.
She lost her dream car.

Everything that had become part of her identity was stripped away.

We talk about what it means to die to yourself, surrender your desires, fight the flesh, understand God’s heart behind His commands, and recognise that sometimes God isn’t taking something from you, He’s freeing you from something you were never meant to build your identity on.

This episode reminded me that God’s stripping can be preparation.

“Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”
