last weekend i walked away with 2nd place in my pro category, this weekend i didn’t break top 5. and that’s bodybuilding, fam! you don’t always walk away with the trophy or medal or check. and that’s okay! i walked on that stage with my best self yet, taking feedback from last weekend and pushing and refining some posing for this weekend and I truly brought the best i could. and sometimes others just bring better or judges have different opinions or you just need more time for more improvements. and that’s why i love the sport. i brought better but i can keep refining and bringing better.

but more importantly, I have the best people in my corner and i won’t ever take that for granted. God, my family, my friends, and my team are more than i could have ever asked for. the way the support has grown immensely in the short time I’ve been in this world fills my heart daily.

and i could go on and on about my @swolesmitty and my team, but it’s as simple as iron sharpens iron. i am surrounded by determined, resilient, supportive people. but i am also surrounded by grateful, caring, compassionate people who genuinely want success for themselves, but also others. and they’re also a bunch of hilarious, weirdos and it’s just the best of people that bring out the best in me.

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again , i can’t control the outcome of a show, but i can control my reaction. and i’m just grateful for every win, big or small, but also just so happy with where this journey has taken me as a bodybuilder and as a person 🤍

time to reflect and refine leggoooo 😤🙏🏽
