When our alumni walk back through those doors… all the feels. 🥹

The memories. The growth. The friendships. The countless hours spent dancing in these very rooms.

Watching them come back and seeing the dancers they’ve become is something we’ll never take for granted. They may have graduated from NFDC, but they will always be part of our NFDC family.🤍

There’s just something so special about seeing the next generation dancing alongside the ones who came before them.

reminiscing on my time at cli, pt 1: I graduated!💐💐

being completely honest I’m overwhelmed with memories and things I would like to share from the past year of my life, but I thought the best way to start would be to share the people that have made this time incredibly special. It makes me emotional to think about how a year ago I knew no one in these pictures personally and now can’t imagine a life without them. God is so intentional with the people he places in your life at certain times, and these people are proof that God knows the fullness of our hearts and minds, perfectly aligning the purpose He has for us with souls that help guide us there. While what was built here will never be lived again in the same context, it brings me so much comfort knowing that the love and bonds I’ve built will never die out.

to my teachers, mentors, coaches, I could write a page for each of you, just know that the work you all put in day in and day out is changing lives, you each have something incredibly unique to share with this generation and I was so excited to come to the studio everyday and LEARN from each of you. thank you for everything from the bottom of my heart. 🫂💐✨ @teddyforance @nichols14 @riileywaatts @caseygonzo @stephshumway @jennip1021 @krysiastcyr @whosyourkuya @jwayno2 @saraholmesvoice

cy5, there was truly never a dull moment. every day spent with you all brought something new and exciting. I’ve never been in a space where I was consistently inspired, pushed, challenged, but most importantly supported throughout it all. the proof of that is in our craft, I grew because I LOVED the people I was growing and dancing with. how I will miss you all but I know there’s so much in store for all of you and I can’t wait to see where your journey leads you. thank you for everything 🫶🏽🙏🏽💐

@teddyforance what you’ve built has changed my life in so many ways. I know you hear it all the time but it’s truly unlike anything else and I’m so grateful I could be a small part of a legacy so great!!

Still can’t believe this journey in my life is over💔💔 CY5, thank you for making this experience everything I needed and more!! Those 10 months have definitely challenged me, helped me grow, but most importantly reminded me why I love to dance. I’m so grateful for every class, every memory, and every person who made this experience so special. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for all of our futures and hope to see you all again!! This truly was one of the best decisions of my life🤍✨

Special shout out @teddyforance (the definition of passion) thank you for always believing in us and pushing us through this journey to become the very best versions of ourselves!! This is something so beyond special and I’m just so thankful to have been apart of it! Also, thank you to all the staff members, we really wouldn’t be the dancers/people we are now without all your wisdom and training🫶🫶

And thank you @tippytoesschoolofdance @relevedanceensemble for helping me become the dancer I am and supporting me along the way💗💗

At graduation, @riileywaatts talked about how movement communicates feeling in a way that words can’t. That has always been something that I have appreciated and connected to in dance. And I am so grateful for the people, place, and art form that have made this experience something beyond what most words can describe.

To all of the faculty and CY5 - thank you for the best year. For being people that inspire me every day. For teaching me lessons that I will hold onto for the rest of my life. For shaping me into a better version of myself. For all the time, hard work, love, and support you have poured into cy5. And for everything I still don’t have the words for.

How did 10 months go by so fast??
There is truly nothing like this place. CLI has not only taught me so much and given me a second home, but it brought me to my best friends in the world and reminded me how much I love dance.

Thank you @teddyforance for creating such an inspiring place for us to learn who we are and become the dancers we want to be. You have had such a strong impact on the way I dance and I will forever be grateful for all that you do!
Thank you @nichols14 for constantly reminding us of our worth and sharing all of the knowledge that I will carry with me forever!
Thank you @riileywaatts for showing me how fun ballet can be and guiding me through every improv class. You have the kindest heart!
Thank you @stephshumway for bringing the best energy and jokes into class. I always leave feeling better than before!
Thank you @jennip1021 for kicking my butt every week and encouraging me to push through when it gets tough!

I can’t put into words how special this place and these people are! I can’t thank everyone enough for such an amazing year, I have grown so much as a dancer and person. @teddyforance thank you so much for the opportunities and support! Thank you for creating an environment where everyone can just be themselves and do what we love most. I am extremely grateful! I leave with the fullest heart and a family I can always count on! 🫀
