What a week…

The end of an era.
My late brother’s birthday.
My Nana’s celebration of life.
A new job.

I’m definitely feeling all the feels and holding both the grief and joy simultaneously

I’m still making my way through the hundreds of messages and will continue responding slowly. I’m so deeply grateful for your sincere appreciation and support. It has been overwhelming in the most beautiful, humbling way… to hear how life-changing the studio and my teachings have been for so many of you. Thank you for your reciprocity, your vulnerability, and your trust.

To my team - Sava, Eric, Greg, Rach, Sally, Kat, Celesta, Stacey, Kate, Eve, Estelle, Oli, Katie, Jess, Jo, Jess - and the hundreds of teachers who have guided powerful practices over the last 13.5 years: finding the words to express my thanks feels impossible, but I will try in the coming weeks.
And to the managers who held it all (and at times me) together - Mona, Emily, Eric, Anna and Greg - thank you. Truly.

I was never here to simply teach what to do, but how and why we do it. To inspire asking the harder questions, rather than searching for easier answers.

You have the tools.
Yoga has shown you the way.
Keep showing up. Breathing.
Move & feel with faith… and see what unfolds.

This will be my final post here.
If you’d like to stay connected, you can find me at @haylsamber.

From my heart to yours… a thousand thank-yous for entrusting me with your spirit, it will remain one of the greatest honours of my life.

You can shut yourself in a room, close the doors, lock all the windows and seal up every crack, but suffering will still find its way in. It’s just part of the human experience.

The past year, and especially the last 6 months, have been some of the most confronting of my life…

This studio was born from devotion - to you, to the collective and to the practice that met me in my darkest hours - slowly guiding me back to myself.

It’s been an absolute honour to facilitate a safe space for curiosity, expansion and connection. But lately, the steady weight of orchestrating schedules and of tending to others’ wellbeing, began to take a toll on my own.

Somewhere in the constant giving and holding I realised I was running on empty. That the cost to my body, to my children, and to my creative spirit was too high…

In the quiet that followed I returned to the things that make me feel most alive: dancing, performing, the process of making again, and of educating and mentoring the next generation.

That remembering brought clarity, I realised I needed space… to grow and keep evolving as an artist, a mother, a human.
And that space could only come by letting go of something I have poured so much of myself into.

So after almost 14 extraordinary years, I’ve decided to hand Bhāva over to new custodians - people who can give it the presence and energy it needs to thrive in its next chapter.
I’ll still be here - teaching, running trainings and retreats, but it’s a turning point…
One that honours the community that built this place, and the many lives that have been transformed within it.

Thank you for being part of this.
Every breath, every laugh, every tear, every Savasana is woven into the fabric of this great studio.

The journey continues - in new hands but with the same heart.
Endings disguised as beginnings.

Be well, do good
Hari Om,
Hayley
