Before playlists, algorithms and endless scrolling, there were mixtapes, music channels and songs you waited all day to hear.

This Wednesday, we’re rewinding the clock at The Den for a full-blown celebration of the ’90s—an era of unforgettable music that still hits differently.

Come sing too loudly, dance like nobody’s recording, and relive a decade when the music was iconic and the memories were even better.

90s Night — This Wednesday at The Den.
No skipping. Just classics.

Save Puri (@savepuri__ ) made this mix an hour before the set.

And that’s the thing about playing for people who actually know — you have to meet them where they are, Hindi or any other language.

When Indian blends hit electronic music right, it doesn’t just move a room. It moves a neighbourhood.

FILTH Invites: Episode 102 - Savepuri

+

@savepuri__ is a globally-minded DJ and music curator whose sets blend selector instincts with genre-fluid finesse. A marine navigation officer by profession, he draws from a life spent crossing oceans—collecting rhythms, textures, and sounds from every corner of the world.

His journey in the music industry began in 2012 as Head of Content at thebanginbeats.com, then India’s leading electronic music platform. Over the years, he has held a range of roles across the
scene—including music journalism for international publications, venue programming, artist logistics, and digital marketing. These past positions shaped a multidisciplinary perspective on what moves dancefloors—not just musically, but culturally.

Behind the decks, savepuri is all bounce and no boredom. His selections are groovy, dynamic, and unapologetically joyful—designed to make hips move, heads nod, and memories fade faster than 4 shots of bad tequila. True to his name, there’s always a tangy twist in the mix. Think of it as dancefloor masala: spicy, unexpected, and just the right amount of chaos.

About the mix -

"This set was conjured up keeping the word “filth” in mind. Thirty tracks of 140 BPM deep dubstep, grime, two-step garage, and breakbeat, sequenced to move like a barrage of neverending groove. The mood is dark and deliberate, the kind of set that starts heavy and just gets heavier, with grime MCs cutting through the low-end. There's swing in the drums when the garage influence surfaces, a brief moment of breathing room before the bass folds back in and reminds you where you are. It's not a party set and it's not a chill set. It sits somewhere in between, in that particular zone of underground UK music where the dancefloor is serious and the sound system is doing most of the talking."
