Atlanta’s Inman Park neighborhood keeps the porch lights on for you. Established in the late 1880s by developer Joel Hurt, it was the city’s first planned suburb—an ambitious garden neighborhood of winding streets, generous greenery, grand Victorian homes, and Atlanta’s first electric streetcar line. The neighborhood was named for Hurt’s friend and business partner, Samuel Inman, while Springvale Park became its leafy centerpiece.

Inman Park experienced a resurgence through a grassroots restoration movement that began in the 1970s involving the DOT and the creation of Freedom Parkway in lieu of a highway that would have demolished the neighborhood. Today, its beautifully renovated homes sit proudly alongside lively restaurants, neighborhood bars, the Krog Street Market, and boutique shops in restored brick buildings under a tree canopy that makes it distinctly Atlanta.

Inman Park is also widely regarded as the birthplace of the Atlanta BeltLine-the first neighborhood where the vision became especially tangible. The Eastside Trail, the first completed section of the BeltLine’s old rail corridor, runs directly through the neighborhood and helped turn the idea of reconnecting Atlanta by trail, parks, and transit into an everyday experience. Inman Park’s charm is that it never had to choose between historic and hip: it keeps the Victorian porches, adds the murals and farmers markets, plays and parkours in the parks, and happily invites the rest of the city over to enjoy it all via the Beltline.

At the center of Inman Park lives 206 Montag Circle-a beautifully appointed townhome featuring stunning wallcoverings from France, crisp quartz kitchen countertops, handsome oak flooring, transom windows, 10-foot coffered ceilings in the fireside family room, coveted courtyard views from the covered deck and a rare 2 car garage. Enjoy tree-lined sidewalks, a lake, and a unicorn of a community swimming pool. This is where the South fell in love with one of the most enchanting neighborhoods and never let her go. Call me for a tour - to make this place your home.

What makes us different?

Azalea Fresh Market is Atlanta’s first municipally backed grocery store — meaning the City of Atlanta itself helped bring us to life, alongside Invest Atlanta, IGA, and Savi Provisions.

The result: fresh, local, affordable food for everyone downtown.

Azalea Fresh Market represents an important investment in the future of the Campbellton community, bringing greater access to fresh food, economic opportunity, and neighborhood revitalization to Southwest Atlanta.

Thank you to Invest Atlanta, Councilmember Wayne Martin, the Independent Grocers Alliance, Savi Provisions, Azalea Fresh Market, and the many community partners helping bring this vision to life. Transformational projects like this demonstrate what is possible when public, private, and community leaders work together to create opportunity and strengthen neighborhoods.

I look forward to seeing the positive impact Azalea Fresh Market will have on families throughout District 11 and across Southwest Atlanta.
