I took my little girl grocery shopping today and she got so excited over the magazines at the checkout. “Mummy mummy you have LOTS of magazines.” And it’s true, for as long as I can remember I have stacks and stacks of zines piled around my room and office. Andy Warhol once said “fashion is more art than art is.” And within a fashion magazine showcasing the art of the fashion is even more art - the prop styling and wardrobe styling and set styling and creative direction and of course the artistry of the photographer. Isabelle was so over the moon when I said she could have a Highlights children’s magazine. Her first of many if she follows in her mumma’s inspiration hoarding ways.
When we got home from the shops I opened my mailbox and saw a very glam version of myself staring back. Izzy thought it was the coolest thing ever that her mum is on the cover of @614refined. I agree.

What an honor. Thank you @614refined for finding my story creating @st._rose compelling to put on the cover of this beautiful issue. @savjjo your words telling my story honestly brought me to tears. Entrepreneurship can be a lonely road - you ride the highs and lows quietly and this year in particular has been a roller coaster. I love having you as a muse for French Poetry.

To my little girl and her brother I hope this is a reminder to dream big, work hard, and if you can make the world a little more beautiful in the process it’ll be worth everything you risked and sacrificed along the way.

I don’t even know if I have the right words for this yet.

Being featured in ColumBEST 2026 feels so much deeper than recognition… it feels like a reflection of every moment, every risk, every person who believed in this before it was what it is today.

There were days this felt so small. Quiet. Uncertain.
And now to see it held in this kind of light… it’s hard to put into words what that means.

This was never just about a studio.
It’s about the women in the room.
The conversations before and after class.
The familiar faces that became something more.
The feeling you get when you walk in and know you belong.

That’s what this really represents.

Thank you to @savjjo for telling this story with so much care, and to 614 Media Group for seeing the heart behind it.

This has always been bigger than a studio… and it always will be 🤎

The Spring edition of Refined magazine is out, and we are honored to see our beloved 24 Lincoln St. Art Studios featured so beautifully.

Thank you for sharing our passion for art and for capturing the spirit of our historic little blue house in the Short North.

I’m incredibly grateful to be featured in the Spring issue of Refined Magazine as one of 12 devoted creatives in Columbus.

Seeing the photos and reading the words - especially captured so thoughtfully by @savjjo and brought to life visually by @gabrielleshamon was a really special moment for me.

Check out a little behind the scenes with Kevin during a recent shoot for Refined Magazine - a high-end, coffee-table publication dedicated to living well in Columbus.

Published quarterly, Refined celebrates craftsmanship, design, and thoughtful living.

Kevin spent the day with the brilliant Editor in Chief of Refine, Sav McKee (also Associate Editor of (614) Magazine and Stock & Barrel) sharing stories, perspective, and the philosophy behind building homes with integrity and timelessness.

With more than 50 years in the industry, Kevin has helped shape the architectural landscape of Columbus in ways both visible and lasting.

To have his story told and recognized in a publication of this caliber is a true honor.

While styles evolve and tools change, the values that guide his work - integrity, intentionality, and respect for craft - have never wavered, and they mean everything to him.
