Another Tournament weekend down and it was an absolute scorcher out. 2026 Midwest Showdown is a B-Tier the @sccdgc holds every July and is played at Quail Ridge on Saturday, then New Melle on Sunday. These are 2 of favorite courses and my home courses. I didn’t play the best but I made some voucher money! Ended up finishing in 7th place out of 23 peeps! What’s funny is last year was the first time I played this event and finished in 7th place 😂. Saturday @ Quail: I got to finally meet the man @chico_bean! He got to card up with me and the homie @savontedg! As you can see on my card, I lit that thing up like the 4th of July 😂. This is actually my home course and I have well over 100 rds played here. This course can tear you apart if you don’t hit your gaps! That’s the beauty of playing woods golf! •Hole 7 played the hardest hole on the course for our division and me and Savonté were the only ones to score a birdie. We made 2 badass C2 putts. Sunday @ New Melle: The heat absolutely got to me this round. My form was absolutely jacked up on a lot of the big holes but I still made the best of what I could do. We finished our round at 2pm and as you can see from the local weather pic I posted, we finished around the hottest time of the day and it was unreal how bad it was out. The MPO guys had to play in the dead heat of the day and I give mad props to them! •I was the only turd to birdie hole 7 (There was actually only 2 people in the entire tournament that threw from the reds , that birdied this hole, the other person was in MA40) I made a massive C2 putt to bring it home! •Hole 15: I had a massive drive off the box but per usual I had a god awful upshot that left me 80ft out. Ended up nailing the putt to get the birdie. It felt good to nail 3 big putts this weekend, I been struggling big time with C2 and futher putts. 29 points over my rating is another big positive! On another note, I was able to go out to Eagles Crossing after my round on Saturday to watch the @gothrowtour Masters Invitational! It was awesome to see some pros throw as I’ve never been to an event like that! #SCCDGC #LocalLineApparel #SmokinAcesDG #DiscGolf #discgolfeveryday
