It’s been a minute,eh ✨
This month was the month to live and breathe ballroom—Awards Balls, Posh Ball, workshops, and drag parties with 007's, Icons and Legendaries. Each category embodied the unique style, fashion, and runway spirit that ballroom culture celebrates.

If you’ve watched Pose or Legendary, you know the energy! I even had the chance to meet, chat with, and hug the King of Vogue himself, @dashaunwesley 🖤 A multitalented performer whose career continues to inspire—still can’t believe it. Happy Birthday, Dashaun!

And yes… #KerriColby made it into my clip by surprise! 😱 The camera just happened to catch her amazing performance at BLK Pride. An All Stars queen for real!

Lastly, I’m so proud to share that I’ve been welcomed into the Gvaslisa Vancouver ballroom house as Oríkáya 🌿—a spiritual calling rooted in legacy, walking with grace, and crowned with the voices of Legends before me. Every step is about strength, remembrance, and honoring lineage. Grateful to be part of a house that truly values, understands, and uplifts its children.

THANK YOU for coming to “The Cookout Mini Kiki Ball”, in partnership with VIDF. Not only was this the Black Out Collective’s first ball, but this was also the first ball held in Vancouver with an all Black producing team, Judging Panel, Commentator, DJ and Photographer.
This was as a labour of love and could not have happened without community.

Thank you to our sponsoring partners, VVJ, Lululemon, and HIM Clinic, as well as all the community members who stepped up to sponsor categories, for a total of over $2400 in Cash Prizes won.
