You do NOT have to run in midlife. And I’m saying that as someone who used to run a LOT. 🏃‍♀️I ran marathons, put in a ton of miles, and I loved it! But my body composition has changed as my training has changed. I don’t run all those miles anymore and same with all the high intense cardio. I walk a lot and put way more focus on lifting and progressive overload. When I was running and doing all the cardio that much, I was burning a ton of calories, but I was also eating a lot more to fuel it. Now I walk a lot, lift heavy, and just keep trying to get stronger and once a week I add hard intervals for my VO₂ max. If you love running, RUN! But you definitely don’t HAVE to. I think walking is one of the best things we can do in midlife! Almost everyone can do it and you can do a lot of it without beating your body up, and you still have the energy to lift and get stronger. 🚶‍♀️So- walk a lot, add some higher intensity work for your VO₂ max in whatever form you enjoy, lift weights and progressively overload. 💪🏻🤍

Cardio helps us LIVE LONG. Strength helps us LIVE WELL. ❤️

the face behind the phone 🙂‍↕️🫶🏼 hi! i’m @savvy.jo

I have always had a love for capturing & documenting the small details in life! I live for a curated story dump, a 2x zoom & my dad would tell you I am chronically online 🤪

I have been wanting to do this for a long time, & after being the designated “content creator” bridesmaid at several weddings, I decided it was time to make it official. I couldn’t be more excited & I can’t wait to capture your wedding day! 🤍 DM me for availability!
